4th Annual Duck & Dodge for NF1
Thursday, January 19, 2023 , 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Thank you to everyone who came to battle it out on the court to support revolutionary research at Sinai Health!
The fourth annual Duck & Dodge tournament raises funds for neurofibromatosis (NF1) research at Sinai Health's Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI).
Children with NF1 are typically diagnosed after their parents notice light brown patches and freckles on their skin. But the effects of this genetic condition are often far more serious, and can include skeletal abnormalities, cognitive challenges and an increased risk of cancer.
More research is urgently needed to better understand the causes of NF1, improve treatment and, ultimately, discover its prevention and cure.
Following their son's diagnosis of NF1, Claire and Craig Rankine launched a family-friendly dodgeball tournament in 2019 to accelerate life-saving research and give much-needed hope to patients and their families. Duck & Dodge has since raised more than $390,000 to advance research - but we need your help to continue moving the needle.
