Cause for the 'Pause Raises More Than $400,000 for Mature Women's Health

The second annual Cause for the 'Pause, Presented by Mantella Corporation, was a huge success. On October 17, our vibrant community came together at the Four Seasons Hotel to raise support and awareness about the unanswered questions and gaps that exist in women’s health research and care. It also highlighted the opportunities we have to drive meaningful change for women everywhere through the Weston and O’Born Centre for Mature Women’s Health.

Guests enjoyed an elegant lunch and a dynamic live auction, followed by an engaging panel discussion moderated by Catherine Murray and featuring Sinai Health’s Dr. Wendy Wolfman and Dr. Paula Rochon – who are global leaders in menopause and geriatrics, respectively. These two champions of mature women’s health highlighted how historic gaps in research impact women’s health outcomes throughout their lives, especially as they navigate menopause and the years beyond. They shared an inspiring call to action, highlighting importance of creating a more equitable and inclusive health-care landscape for women at every stage of their lives and their vision for how Sinai Health can help women get the answers they deserve. Thanks to the generosity of our attendees and sponsors, the event raised more than $400,000 in support of the future of women’s health.

A heartfelt thank you to our co-chairs, Sylvia Mantella and Victoria Webster, and everyone who contributed to this groundbreaking event!
