Get ready to hit the court for a cause that matters. The 7th annual Duck & Dodge is back, bringing together friends, families, and colleagues for an action-packed evening of dodgeball fun in support of neurofibromatosis (NF1) research at Sinai Health’s Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI).
Whether you’re a dodgeball pro or just in it for some friendly competition, every throw, duck, and dive helps move us closer to a cure.
By supporting Duck & Dodge, you’re investing in the Rankine Family Fellowship in NF1, which trains the next generation of scientists and helps Sinai Health attract top research talent. Thanks to your support, this program has enabled major progress. Dr. Danian Chen recently published a landmark paper in Nature, advancing global understanding of NF1. The team’s capacity has also expanded, with Dr. Chris Lowden’s research now supported by technician Evgenija Serafimova, who is using the lab’s CRISPR-StAR platform to uncover new treatment targets in NF1-Ras mutant cancers.
Since 2019, Duck & Dodge has raised more than $627,000 to accelerate NF1 research. This year, let’s build on that momentum and aim even higher.
