I'VE JOINED THE CALL TO BECOME A CHAMPION OF MENTAL HEALTH
With personal connections to family members and friends suffering from mental health issues, I have become a strong supporter of advancing healthcare offerings in this area, as well as breakthrough research.
To show my support, I am campaigning for Sinai Health and their own goal to raise $3 million to create a first-of-its-kind position in Canada, a Chair in Emergency Medicine Addiction and Mental Health. This person and department will conduct, spearhead and lead research, studies and clinicians to remedy shortcomings and offer badly needed care to those with mental illness and addiction.
