2026 is a year to do hard things and the best way to do a hard thing is to do it for a great reason. On March 8th (International Women’s Day and my birthday!), I’ll be joining other amazing women in taking a cold plunge to raise awareness and money for women’s health at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Having uterine cancer and having a complete hysterectomy meant that I joined the club of women who have managed early menopause and the Mature Women’s Health Centre at Mt. Sinai has been an incredible resource for all of the things that I wasn’t expecting. You expect emotions and hot flashes, but I didn’t expect insomnia, skin changes, migraines, brain fog and bone changes - especially when they all happen at once. Cancer may be gone but the effects of it have lingered and I’m so grateful to give back some of the support that has come my way!
