Thank you to the Temmy Latner Palliative Centre
As I approached my 50th birthday, I realized that the only way I wanted to celebrate was by giving thanks. Giving thanks to all those I credit for getting me this far. And specifically, I want to give thanks to the people who helped me get through the last most difficult years. There were a few very special people who helped my mother and our family in her last months of care before passing.
Dr. Russell Goldman and his team from Mount Sinai's Temmy Latner's Palliative Centre helped us give my mom the care she needed in the last stage of life. Dr. Goldman's warmth, attentiveness and judicious care ensured my mom was as comfortable as possible and that she felt safe in her home until the very end. I learned a tremendous amount through them and was inspired -- and incredibly grateful for -- how they could support our family in that difficult time.
I would be honoured if my friends felt inspired to support their work as they continue to make an incredible difference in the lives of others.
