The Residency
A House Party with Heart
The Residency is an elevated house party held in a Toronto residence in support of the Women’s and Infants’ Patient and Family Support Fund at Sinai Health. Designed as an intimate evening of connection, celebration, and impact, expect a night where generosity meets great taste.
With acclaimed Chef Zachary Kolomeir (Taverne Bernhardts, Dreyfus, N.L. Ginzburg) at the helm and thoughtfully curated surprises woven throughout the evening, The Residency will be a warm, stylish, and unforgettable experience, where every detail is designed to delight and every ticket directly supports families during their most vulnerable moments.
THE CAUSE
In today’s economic climate, unanticipated expenses can cause real distress. When those expenses arise in conjunction with a high-risk pregnancy or NICU admission, patients and families are often faced with limited options - and no time left to plan. The NICU’s Veteran Parent Support Partner estimates that as many as 75% of families experience some degree of economic hardship during their baby’s stay.
All proceeds from The Residency will go towards the Women’s and Infants’ Patient and Family Support Fund, which provides much needed financial assistance to families including covering overnight stays, parking and other critical items. By enabling our Social Workers and NICU parent resource team to help ease some of these financial burdens, your support will allow patients and families to focus on the things that matter most.
THE MATCH
Inspired by both personal journeys and being witness to the extraordinary care delivered every day at the Frances Bloomberg Centre for Women’s and Infant’s Health at Mount Sinai Hospital, Co-Chairs Rebecca Risen and Zack Belzberg, together with their respective families, have established a $200,000 matching fund to launch this year’s inaugural event.

The Residency was born out of an effort to express the Risens’ gratitude and to ensure Sinai Health continues providing world-class care to all its moms and babies.
