6th Annual Duck & Dodge in support of NF1
Tuesday, January 28, 2025 , 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Get ready to hit the court and make a real impact at the sixth annual Duck & Dodge tournament, raising critical funds for neurofibromatosis (NF1) research at Sinai Health's Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI). Whether you’re a dodgeball pro or just in it for some fun, this event brings the community together to support a groundbreaking research.
At just eight months old, Jonathan Rankine was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), a rare genetic disorder that affects multiple systems of the body. While it might start with skin changes, NF1 can lead to far more serious complications, including skeletal abnormalities, learning difficulties, and an increased cancer risk. More research is urgently needed to understand its complexities, improve treatments, and ultimately find a cure.
The Power of Community
In 2019, Claire and Craig Rankine launched a dodgeball tournament with one goal: accelerate NF1 research. Thanks to the dedication of our incredible supporters, we've raised over $520,000 and counting, fueling research that offers new hope to patients and families. But the fight isn’t over yet. Let’s keep the momentum going and the dodgeballs flying.
