The Cold Plunge Challenge 2026

Diving in for Answers on Women’s Health

I’m excited to take on The Cold Plunge Challenge to highlight the critical need for women’s health research.

Health gaps disproportionately affect women, especially later in life, where underfunding leaves critical questions about menopause and aging unanswered. From menopause to chronic pain and heart health, too many issues remain misunderstood. It’s time for answers.

By taking this plunge, I’m supporting Sinai Health’s mission to help women get the answers they deserve - advancing research that improves care and health outcomes now and for the future.

Join me in supporting this important cause with a donation. Together, we can support research that transforms care for women today and generations to come.

How to start cold plunge safely

Tuesday 17th Feb
Basic guidelines:
Start slow: 30–60 seconds is plenty at first
Focus on controlled breathing
Warm up naturally afterward
Avoid if you have uncontrolled cardiac conditions without medical clearance
Consistency matters more than duration.

Cold plunging is not about comfort. It’s about controlled discomfort that leads to real benefits for your body and mind. Improved circulation, reduced inflammation, stronger immunity, better mood, and sharper mental resilience all come from a practice that takes only a few minutes.

And yes, it still feels cold every single time. That’s kind of the point!!
